Man in the Moon, Gion in Kyoto

A very small bar with really bad customer service! Also the beer isn’t great, went for a ‘safe’ Asahi and it seems the pipes need replacing or at least cleaning every now and then!

Awesome pub in Gion with great hospitality! Specialty beers on tap and the food was delicious! English speaking staff, prices are fair, and the environment was very friendly. Naoya and Yulina were are bartenders, super cool people!

Good selection of drinks. Some craft and unique drinks. Good English. Dodgy WiFi. Quite pricey, but I guess it's Japan after all.

A relaxed pub. Glad we stopped in here. Drinks we recognized and many English speakers stopped in. We met some other travelers from ither countries in here, it was very cool stop. Recomend stopping in for a drink.

Friendly pub with good pub food, lots of whiskeys, Guinness and local craft brews.

Small place but good one. We have tested black tokyo beer. A stout japanese beer. Test it ! Im from belgium and advise this beer. Realy :)

Small Irish pub in Gion. Popular with foreigners, friendly, English speaking staff, and a decent selection of beers and whiskies. The place can be a bit cramped when busy.

Very nice and relaxed place. Offers beer on tap and bottle from different countries. Nice with a smoke and non-smoke section. Also serve food and snacks.

Brilliant British/Irish pub situated in the heart of Gion. Great if you want to get off the busy main road and pop in for a pint or two. Guinness on tap!

We've been there Yesterday drinking. It was like being back un Europe 😁 like a small break in our japanese trip.The bartender is very cool and used to foreigner.I recommand it a lot 😉 we're going back tonight

Nice place to get the Western-style atmosphere while in Japan, if interested. They offer several European beers. Small place that’s good for conversation.

Friendly staff and an excellent little bar for travellers. Cozy yet comfortable. We enjoyed this bar both nights we stayed in Kyoto and I highly recommend it for a more casual night out.

Cute place. Service was lacking. They forgot 3 drinks from our order.

Irish pub. Good English. Nice break from authenticity. Great place to rest
